Re: If It Be Your Will - Webb Sisters

I was at the concert at the O2 on 17th July, and heard the duet between Leonard Cohen and Hattie Webb on the song "Take this Waltz". Taking my breath away is an understatement for what that did. There was a powerful alchemy there, and I am guessing that this song arranged this way was not ...

Re: Advance ticket booking for Files/Forum members

I am finding it very confusing just trying to work out *where* I can get a ticket from? I would like to go to a concert in the UK, preferably London, but I have stared at the information on this site and am totally lost. I will probably miss the concert because I can't find where to click to get a t...

Re: March 7 update: The tour announcement on March 11

I am really confused, trying to find how to get a ticket to see Leonard anywhere in the UK, but preferably London. Which part of this forum would have that information?

Leonard Cohen concert?

Its probably been asked a million times on this forum, but is there any chance Leonard Cohen will do a concert tour this year? Especially in the UK? I ask because I just got caught out not checking the Echo and the Bunnymen forum for a few weeks, not only did I miss their concert this December in Li...

Re: Contribute to the Liverpool 800 Poems Site

interesting, though the stuff I wrote is hardly fit for human consumption........ I wrote a load of stuff down after travelling to Liverpool last December to see Echo and the Bunnymen. It was a lovely place and I had a look around the dock area which has the best museums anywhere that I have seen. E...

my poem.

Its strange, I read the July issue of the Word magazine because Leonard's picture was on the front, and his being reported as having said that nothing rhymes with Orange turned around in my mind, and I offer this small poem like a cat leaving a fishbone on your doorstep as a thankyou. The past is a ...

Re: What did Leonard mean by nothing rhymes with orange?

Thanks, its just that his words turned around in my mind. The past is a burning light She runs through your dream Forever at the ends of empty streets at night Restlessly through time She wears flowers in her long red hair Lost daughter of the Sun She climbs the steps, her feet are bare And leaves f...

What did Leonard mean by nothing rhymes with orange?

I just read an article about Leonard Cohen in a magazine, which quotes him as saying that nothing rhymes with orange.

What did Leonard mean by this? Is the quote accurate?

The only reason I picked the magazine up was because Leonard's picture was on the front

Do you know any live recordings of "Walking on water" or "Plants and rags" or "Dress"? I like listening to P. J. Harvey, but it is the wildness of her emotions, honesty in going places that convention forbids? And purity of her voice. Like she seems to tap into dark mat...

I hate this video of the Gypsys Wife song

Is it just me, or is this video horrible?

Am I missing something?

What on earth have they done to Leonard's beautiful song?

Hmmm, sounds interesting book to read, I will look around for it. For some reason it made me think of a story I read a long time ago called "Empires of Azure" by Tanith Lee, where things start when she looks into a guy's blue eyes.........

Geoffrey, on the contrary, most "nice" lyricists would avoid darkness, Leonard doesn't because somebody needs to heal the wounds, not by ignoring them................or would you prefer they stay in the shadows?

Tony, thanks. That t square in Leonard's chart seems interesting, ie Venus conjunct Neptune in Virgo opposition Moon conjunct Mercury's solstice point in Pisces, square Pluto's solstice point in 4 degrees Gemini 12 minutes, and Phaethon 9 degrees Gemini, and Chiron in 10 degrees Gemini. Carl Gustave...

I loved reading your post Greg, you write with honesty which is the hallmark of Leonard Cohen, almost unique in the music world. That line about the beauty of our weapons resonated with me when Warren Buffet described financial derivatives as weapons of mass destruction and Bob Prechter brought out ...

Leonard Cohen, anyone know his time of birth?

I have a horoscope in front of me drawn for 21st September 1934 in Montreal, Canada, at "dawn", for which I took a guess of 6.30am, giving the Sun rising, approximately, Ascendant about 25 to 28 degrees of Virgo? To any astrologers on this forum, look at the solstice points, such as Mercur...
