Re: How to celebrate Leonard's 80th birthday

Whilst I'd be happy to donate to a single idea, I also like the tree planting suggestion or we could each do something in our own communities to commemorate Leonard's birthday. It could be tidying an area, helping a neighbour, hosting an event or just inviting some friends round to celebrate Leonard...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Brighton, AUGUST 28th 2013

I thought last night's concert in Brighton was the best I've been to. I love the subtle changes to some of the well known songs and really enjoyed hearing the newer ones from Old Ideas live. Leonard and the band are amazing and I hope they know how much their dedication to giving a brilliant perform...

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: London, September 8 & 9

A great evening, all the band were fantastic. Ironically it was extremely hot and for once an outdoor venue in the UK would have been ok! Unfortunately, as meglos2000 mentioned, during some of the later songs and for all of the encores, it was difficult to hear Leonard singing above the shouting and...

Re: HOP FARM (UK), 8 SEPT announced

Not sure what happened, I had Row A seats but when I clicked to confirm payment the website threw me out. Got back in and have managed to book Row B 105, sounds like it may be at the side but we'll see on the day. I'm just happy that I can get to a concert without getting on a plane and paying hotel...

Re: OLD IDEAS WORLD TOUR: CONCERTS AND TICKET INFO

Yes, I think most people in the UK would much prefer an indoor venue, me included. Let's hope that 2013 might bring us the Albert Hall again or a similar size venue.
Meantime, since I live in the south, I'll do my best to get to Kent on the 8th Sept.
That's assuming it's definitely happening.

Re: Next announcement and 2 presales on May 7

Comparing the two maps I think that narrows it down to; Germany Poland Czech Republic Austria Hungary Bulgaria Romania And since we are looking for a country that is already on the 2010 tour then it could be; Germany, Austria or Poland My guess is 2 cities in Poland? After more thought, Germany or A...

Re: What is going on ?

The speculations on this Forum (and also the same with the French one) are fruitless. There is a very understandable reason behind this. Everybody is going to agree when the facts are available. No need to create an uprising against AEG or anybody else. That would only mean good-byes to all future ...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Granada, September 13

The previous posts are correct I'm afraid, the sound was dreadful. I thought it was because I was to the side of the stage. But we were in Row 8 and it was difficult to make out the words, there was a consistant echo behind us about half a second after each word was sung. Luckily I've been to severa...

Yes Jarkko, there were a few of us there!
I'm just back to work after the weekend in Granada so I'll write review later today.
I've posted the setlist, as I remember it, in the setlist thread.

The Atarfe setlist was similar to Madrid but, just to be clear I'll list it here; Dance Me to the End of Love The Future There Ain't No Cure for Love Bird on the Wire Everybody Knows In My Secret Life Who by Fire Lover Lover Lover Waiting for the Miracle Anthem Tower of Song Suzanne Sisters of Mercy...

Re: Happy Birthday, Leonard!

Reading this thread I see that many people have written gentle and beautiful thoughts for you. However, the words that spring to mind when I think of you are more along the lines of; Enough of the "Old Man" lyrics! I'm sure I see a twinkle in your eye and that there's life in the old dog y...

Granada (Atarfe) Sept 13th

Hi

Is anyone else from the forum going to this concert?
I'll be staying in Granada for the weekend so I'd appreciate any information about the best way to travel to and from the Concert Arena. From maps it looks like Atarfe is about 10km outside Granada?

Thanks
Lizzie

Re: YOUR PHOTOS FOR OUR MOSAIC PROJECT

Hi. I've just sent a photo. I hope it's ok. I feel a bit nervous sending a photo to be published without having any idea of what anyone else's photo is like. (Except for the 2 brave guys who have posted their pictures here of course. I'm just not brave enough to do that!) Thanks for all the work you...
