Teratogen, Jesus Christ did not die for your sins. He laid down his life for his sheep. Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. WHO sends Evil? Isa 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all t...

Linda, Eelaine has brought out the topics she was not quite willing to discuss before. Three times I brought up the article by Finkelstein... which is/was my 'thesis.' The only difference was that, after I grew exhausted and weary from 'hiding' my thesis... which was in the article... I spoon fed it...

"I'll bless those that bless you and curse those that curse
you."
Steven,

A lot of people are saying this, I agree. The Bible says a lot of things.

Maybe if you just say it one for good, this would clear up the communication. Tchoco, I thought I did: “The title is its genius” The popular attitudes that support the US/Israel agenda of today, are a Huge Double Standard, and are grossly inadequate to history and reality. The ‘Politics of Anti-Sem...

Steven,
In "The Genius" the persecuted group is the Jewish people
In your subjective view, what do you guess could be meant by ‘the Genius’?

Tchoco and Linda, Firstly, I’m at a disadvantage with “Flowers for Hitler.” Secondly, my (subjective) thoughts are off-shoots... starting with a poem, called ‘the Genius’ and what I observe in the world. At this point, it doesn’t matter to me what Leonard meant in writing it. IF Whether or not my ta...

Steven, To bring up objectivity, and suggest that it’s missing; Is this persecution? The double standard of genius... to suggest objectivity, or examination warrants this? ( you said so. ) Who/What is being persecuted? (for instance when I turn on the news) What is being projected? (Other than the o...

Tchoco and Linda, My interest is not whether you agree with me about this poem... what it’s definitive, certain, without a doubt meaning is. Rather, I believe I made a strong case for a meaningful discussion – based on it and its language and observations, and observations outside of this poem, that...

Tchoco, I’m having a bit of difficulty figuring out some of the details of your post, but not your main message. To which I say, you don’t get it. You say no one here is in favor of Genocide... and then you talk about Hitler and Neo-nazis... and Hitler’s genius. I’m not going to even explain why I j...

Hum... "And if you want, a this and that, and if it is not enough I'll wear a mask for you" of I'm Your Man" seems to me, maybe alike in the forms, but is more a playful erotic game to me. This... This is not. ( I could not agree with you more… it is neither playful… nor erotic ) Tha...

Sandra, Beyond the line “no mind can understand” is everything in between this and the title of the poem. Jewish. Jewish stereotypes, any stereotype or lifestyle... Jewish. Anti-Semitism... the assumed condition. Talmud controversy (more Anti-Semitism.) The Holocaust. At any moment the speaker is a ...

As I pondered this comment, perhaps? in light of my understanding of Leonard’s poem, ‘the Genius,’ I began to wonder about evaporation and censorship. Yet I am certain that no fan of poetry is in favor of the latter. As people discuss what poetry means to them, it is a given we draw our own conclusi...
