Re: The promoter is scamming us

What did I tell you?. Got news on the Micheal Jackson tour (also promoted by AEG) just the other day. As I expected, Jackson is already saying he needs to postpone the first few shows at the O2 in London. They were set to start in July. He claims his reason this time is he needs more reherasal time....

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Detroit, May 9

LOl. Yeah. As we were on that same street we too saw what had to be a hooker walking by. And it seemed that I left way before you guys did. Again, had it been that area of Detroit like usual, there would have been tons of cops around and these ppl wouldn't be wandering around so much in plain sight....

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Detroit, May 9

LadyDi, Sorry to hear about that. I didn't know you were alone. My driver and I ran into the goof blocking the street too. It was a tense situation as he was yelling and cussing at a guy and his family walking on the sidewalk. I thought for sure a gun would be pulled and my driver and I would be in ...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Detroit, May 9

Yeah friends have told me that I was crazy for spending all that I have the last few years on concerts. "You can just stay home for free and listen to his live album". With music, for me, it isn't the same. You have to be there. With sports, pro wrestling, etc. I can stay home for free and watch tha...

CONCERT REPORT: Detroit, May 9

This show was everything that I expected going into from all of the other reports. Same time length and same recent set list. That being said, you still had to see it even if you're like me wanting to know every detail going in, not wanting to be surprised. What stood out to me was the lighting. It ...

Re: Detroit bar before the show

Ugh! Final forecast here from Fox 2 News Morning. We will reach the high of 67 this morning. Then a cold front comes through with a chance of showers and T-Showers dropping the afternoon temp down to 55. Big the big story is the wind. They expected to be between 40-45mph. (Hold on to your hats). The...

Re: Detroit bar before the show

Yeah the forcast changed again for tomorrow.

Now Fox 2 is saying a mainly cloudy and windy day, with scattered showers (more steady in the AM), high 67.

Re: Detroit bar before the show

Jamie at 5pm, they mean The Fox Grille for dinner. The Town Pump Bar is expected to be after the show itself around 11pm or so. A couple of notes from here in Detroit. OR4 at The Fox sure seems to be a tough sell as there are still seats yet in that section when I checked under "best" at TM.com Depe...

Re: Detroit bar before the show

IF everyone decides on The Town Pump it is a block or two from The Fox itself. All you do is walk out the main Fox doors. Then you walk left, then make another left. The street it's on is called Montcalm. Again not sure on the exact rules, but maybe they do the under age bracelet deal to still let y...

Re: Detroit bar before the show

Yes it has. That is prime location for those bars due to the Tigers, Lions, and concerts always in the area. They do not want to risk getting shut down in a sting operation by Michigan State Police over under age drinking. AND as of a few mintues ago, Detroit has a new mayor. Long story, but due to ...

Re: Detroit bar before the show

None unless you have a "Fake ID". Gotta be 21 everywhere usually.

MAYBE you can plead your case and tell them who you are meeting and MAYBE they will give you an under age wristband to let you in. Sadly not many places do that too often anymore, but it can't hurt to call ahead and ask.

Re: buy tickets from "unofficial" websites ?

I so far can speak highly for StubHub. I was able to sell my other LC ticket on there a week and a half ago. The check from StubHub arrived on Sat. just as promised. BUT I am an honest person. I didn't b.s. my posting and thankfully the person that bought it was honest as well and paid up asap. When...

Re: Detroit bar before the show

Don't know if anyone else got the e-mail from The Fox about Sat. It was an announcement that doors for "will call" people is 6:30pm and the rest 7pm. They also noted there will be plenty of parking right at The Fox for just $12 (sounds to me like the show isn't sold out or they don't think it will b...

Re: Detroit bar before the show

Well I saw the early weather forcast on the local news for May 9. Keep in mind Michigan weather has always been up and down even before Climate Change was all over the news. So this early forcast could change for the better or worse. But as of right now, it is expected to be 66 degrees, partly sunny...

Re: Detroit bar before the show

Well the votes are in and we wont be joining you guys. My buddy driving wrote me and said he wants to stick to HockeyTown. He said he doesn't need to have a $35 piece of chicken from Fox Town Grill and hamburgers and fries are good enough. Plus he said it's "less stuffy" at HTC, and being a huge spo...
