Re: $175 per ticket?!?!

It's worth it believe me - I paid $200 plus in Sydney and it was a once in a lifetime experience - not only is Leonard at the peak of his game but the band is magnificent (includes long time collabarator Sharon Robinson) and the additional bonus is a lesson that may well last a lifetime on how to ag...

Re: AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

Great to read your post St.Theresa,

Yes I agree Translucent musician of our time is an apt description of Leonard and the spiritual prescence he has on stage and in the Film I'm Your Man.

I presume you will be seeing him in Canada on his 2009 tour?

Regards

Re: Leonard Cohen Live in London

Yes a shame that The Partisan and Famous Blue Raincoat are not on
this live CD as they were standouts for me in the Sydney show.

Re: " go clear?"

Re: Famous Blue Raincoat - I've always thought that it's just a song about someone whose best friend ran off with his wife and the husband desparately trying not to hold too much of a grudge. And the definitions about go clear make it much clearer! I don't think she did ever go completely clear. bes...

Re: AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

Thanks Liz for checking out my music and the generous comments. Yes it is weird being on a forum with many other like-minded souls in the old days professing love for leonard's work was not often greeting with "oh me too!!" type of repsonses. But times have changed and his music I think ha...

Re: Leonard Cohen in Australia - A Disciple's Story

Hi Irene, Thanks for the post -yes that myspace Famous Blue Raincoat link doesn't work -don't know why- it's the right one -have copied the url again below plus the myspace Id - one of them cannot be wrong (as Leonard would say). Would love to have you as a myspace friend. http://www.myspace.com/fam...

Re: AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

Thanks for the encouragement Lilley-Marlene, Yes I think since moving to Australia means I'm out of the loop a bit in regards to the New Zealand industry. Paul Kelly did a nice set in Australia I thought supporting Leonard. Did Play Revas in Whangarei in 2005 -that was as close as I've got to Northl...

Hi Jarrko, Thank-you for an amazing website on Leonard Cohen’s work incredibly comprehensive and alerted me to films that I did not even know existed. I had the good fortune to see Leonard’s concert at the A Sydney Entertainment centre last week (28 Jan 09) which was absolutely sensational. Very ins...
