Re: One Very Underrated Song from Every Leonard Cohen Album

Cynicism warning!

Copy and paste the original article into Microsoft Word, for the purpose of a word count.
Result = 1006 words.

I imagine an editor saying "give me 1000 words on ... "
The author nearly got the required amount.

I suppose any mention of Leonard is better than none.

Re: The 10 most underrated Leonard Cohen songs

I'm right there with you Lisa. I bristle every time I hear or read something along the lines of "It's not as expensive* as you think." * many adjectives could be used here. How does that person have any idea as to what I, or others may think? "Cohen himself would have admitted that he...

Re: Along the way... Discovering Leonard's albums

Hi Curt, I can't confirm or deny that I have listened to FBR at 4:00 am - the memory is not the best these days. As with you, it remains one of my favourite LC songs, probably #1, even though Leonard is on record as saying he didn't think he had finished it. I have previously commented on this forum...

Re: never-ending gallery

And as requested, here’s my contribution to the Never-Ending Gallery. IMG_0017.jpg You know, I’ve always been influenced by light and shadow in making my artworks. To me they are the essence of all. tap reflection.jpg I thought of posting this way back then, but couldn't find it. It is just a seren...

Re: never-ending gallery

if one is familiar with the old dean martin song one will recall the opening line ' when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore! '. To which I reply: When you're down by the sea And an eel bites your knee That's a Moray. Sorry, Geoffrey, but I couldn't resist your "feed"...

Re: never-ending gallery

Hi Geoffrey,
Wonderful characters emerge from these latest drawings.
I particularly love the title of the first one. A truism if ever I saw one, but I must confess I have never encountered that one before.

Best wishes,
Keep your pencils sharp,

Re: info about external hard drives

Good advice, Geoffrey.
I don't use the cloud, but I store my HDD in a different building.
I have been very satisfied with the Toshiba brand.

Best wishes,

Alan
