Re: len and bob just make billboard's top 40 earners 0f 2010

It's great to see Leonard doing well and he deserves it. I saw him in concert and it great. But on a down beat note $9.2 million in one year in a recession when people are losing their jobs and incomes, I find a bit much. The price of tickets was high as they all are nowadays and I as one of the one...

Re: LEONARD IS FEELING FINE

I don't usually post but feel compelled to do so, as I have just heard of Leonard being unwell on stage. It must have been terrible for him and my heart goes out to him. If you read this Leonard I wish you well. I can still remember the evening in Brighton last year as if it happened last night and ...

Re: cohen v. dylan

One memorable Bob Dylan concert was on the day of the great storm in the UK (I forget the exact date). It took me hours to get to London with all the trees down. This was not a memorable concert because of the concert it self but because of the storm. With the amount of effort people from the south ...

Re: cohen v. dylan

I was a Dylan fan long before I even heard of Leonard Cohen. I have seen both of them live twice now,and Leonard shows are so much better. Bob Dylan doesn't care if his fans enjoy his concerts, whilst Leonard does. You come away from Leonard's concerts like he has spoken to you personally. Bob Dylan...

Re: Leonard and religion

Buddhism seems to have done Leonard a lot of good over the years. They say in Buddhism that you have to "live with the way things really are" and that it, don't go beating your self up about things you can't change. He had his savings stolen, he failed to get them back and he has to live with it wit...

Re: Hallelujah meaning

On further looking at the lyrics and their meaning; it would seem that he start of with the Biblical David story, and when he gets further into the song he talks about love in general, but also meaning it's the same as in Davids time: in over words: a mess. Baby I have been here before I know this r...

Hallelujah meaning

With all the interest in Leonard's Hallelujah of late; I was wondering if anyone could explain the words more?
I get the start of the song with KING David and Bathsheba, but only understand small parts after that.
Any clarification would be most appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: Brighton, Nov 28

That's what I thought. You are only taking his word for it that he has filmed the whole concert. You also don't know if you are going to receive it either. These people are annoying when you sit behind them in a concert hall and you have a video camera distracting you the whole time: I don't mind on...

Re: Brighton, Nov 28

I was there at this concert: and I'm glad I was. I last saw Leonard 15 years ago at the ROYAl ALBERT HALL, and he was good than, but this concert was the best I have ever seen. The band was excellent and so was Leonard, and at 75 he was Brilliant. And to see he skipping back on stage at the encores ...
